    The New PRWeb

PRWeb.com, designed and built by Pappas, just launched a few days ago to much acclaim in the twittersphere. PRWeb, one of the leading online news release companies, came to Pappas Group to take their company to the next level. Our strategy team came back with a strong, clear vision of what their values are and how to articulate that to their website visitors.

    Objectives
Their existing website was lacking visual interest, a clear voice with a personality, and it wasn’t easy to find content you were looking for. We established several goals for the new website to achieve. We wanted to define and establish new messaging to speak to the different types of audience segments, set up a dedicated News Center (instead of mixing it with non-news) and provide a searchable and easy-to-use Learning Center. We also wanted to build on PRWeb’s pioneering heritage – they are the leader in the online PR space, so they should come across as such.

    Challenges
Their homepage had to accomplish two things simultaneously: Tell new visitors what PRWeb is, and show the news releases that people are publishing on PRWeb. We explored countless layouts with varying amounts of space devoted to each area. We ended up with a great solution, with a rotating banner of promotions at the top, and a horizontal carousel of top news stories right below that. There’s also space below to feature upcoming webinars and a live update of what people are saying about PRWeb on twitter.

    Results
The reviews are in (at least on twitter) and they are overwhelmingly positive. The client is pleased (once again, Pappas delivers big!) and their customers can now benefit from a website featuring more content that’s easier to find. It’s always great to see one of our websites go live. Congratulations to PRWeb and their ongoing success!
